Okay, everybody. It is time to fess up. I know that I haven't posted anything on this site for moths. I have a real good reason for this:
I do not have any projects going.
I had to quit on them because of one thing: Responsibility.
I have been busy working with my schoolwork, and unfortunately, been falling behind. I have never had time to work on both my work, and my hobby.
I have been having a hard time finding a balance between these two things because of the way my mind works. Unless I devote my time to ONE thing to get it done, it most likely won't get done. So, in my pursuit of locking in a good future, I have stopped my projects so I can more easily focus on my work.

HOWEVER, that does not mean I will be leaving the site.

I have accepted that I am not posting anything, but that does not mean that I cannot appreciate what this site holds. I have become somebody who browses the art of others to see what they like, without making any of their own.
I have become what I like to call, the observer.

So, For mission seven, I have sighned up for a collab with five other teams. Well, the guy I sighned up with is doing the collab with three others besides myself. I offered my services to and these are the others participating in the collab:



We are voting on which mission to choose, and then we will try to decide on a plot to follow. and with my schoolwork being on the way, wish us all luck!

Okay, I recently watched the second part of "The Cantelot Wedding" again, And I noticed some very interesting things. One of the things is how the changelings invaded, and another is how they attacked. I have listed some of the things that seem to contridict how we fans view them.

First of all, there is the Queen Chrysalis. During her second stanza of "This Day aria" she says "No I do not love the goom, In my heart there is no room." It seems a little strange to me that she would use this kind of wording. The reason I say this is that the majority of fans have portrayed the changeling race as unable to feel love. Yet this implys that she doesn't have enough love for only Shining armor. Does this mean that changelings are able to love? I do not know, but I hope so.

Also, When she first reveals her true form, Shining armor doesn't notice at all. I bring this point up because, once again, of the fan base. Changelings have been portrayed with only one way to fool their victims. There has been in many a fanfic a moment when the changeling is revealed because they have dropped their disguise. But here Chrysalis is able to continue feeding off Shining Armor because he is under a spell. Granted that this might be exclusively for the queen, but I have my doubts.

Now, there is the usual set up for any Changeling fan-fic. The changeling has been shot off far from the hive and landes somewhere in equestria. They are injured in the crash landing, thus are unable to find their way back to the hive. However, durring the invasion, they are able to land on the ground with so much speed and force that they are able to form craters. This is seen at 10:56.
However, I noticed that they encased themselves in their magic, so that could be the reason why they are able to withstand the force. This would also allow the fan-fics to continue with their version unheaded.

The one subject I am the most interested in is the concept of the "Hivemind." I myself accepted this concept for a while, untill Ben stated otherwise. In the show, there are several indications that there isn't a hivemind. In fact, there is such a large amount of proof to the contrary that I have come to believe that the myth started simply because the Changelings look like bugs!

My first evidence is the Presence of what I can only believe to be a Changeling commander. Seen at 11:30. If there really was a hivemind, there would be no need for a commander. Every changeling would know just what to do and when to do it without needing to be instructed. Therefore, there would be no need for a commander in the first place.

Another aspect of the hivemind is that it allows changelings identify other Changelings who are in disguise. However, there are several instances in the fight between the Mane 6 and the Swarm. First of all, when they first charge each other at 11:48, Rainbow Dash is spotted 3 times. Since only one of them is real, that would mean that two changelings are fighting each other. However, Pinkie Pie is sighted only once in that same instance, so it's possible there wasn't any confusion.
At first.

During the fight, there is significant proof that the Changelings can't tell each other apart from the real deal. At 11:55, Fluttershy is able to fool a group of Fluttershy changelings into thinking she was one. Rainbow Dash was able to do the same thing at 12:06. If the hivemind was real, these simple tricks wouldn't have worked.

And finnaly, the whole fight scene had way to many ponies fighting for it to be just 6 ponies fighting back. That seems like a red flag to me.

There are, however, a few scenes that make me wonder about a Changeling's nature. at 13:40, the changelings bring the Mane 6 to Chrysalis unharmed, and unrestrained. Why? Are they just arrogent? Did they think thay they were invincable or something? Were they told not to? I don't know.

At 14:27, when Chrysalis is looking out the window, you will see in the lower right of the screen, a changeling fly by with a joyful look on its face. Above it are three other changelings overlooking the carnige of Canterlot with a confused look on their faces. Is there a reason these four are not acting hostile? The only reason I can see is that they are second-guessing themselves, or are oblivious to what they are really doing.
Further more, at 14:36, you can see that a large amount of the swarm is not attacking. I do not see any reason for them to hold back whatsoever, so the reason for this is a mystery to me.

The last point I would like to talk about is how many of the changeling fics start. The changeling is thrown out from Canterlot and lands in a part of Equestria. This part could really be possible. In the show, from 16:33-16:40, you can see at least two changelings being hurdled into a forest instead of the badlands. This could mean that the changeling fics could eventually happen. The only thing I doubt is that the changeling in question would run into the Mane 6. If they did, it is much more likely they would hightail it out of town as soon as possible.

That is my opinion on how everything worked out.
